Identical Twins, Dons, Celebrate Ruby Birthday Dedicated to God and Humanity

Two Owo-born Dons and set of identical twins,  Dr. Taiwo Samuel Adenegan and Dr. Kehinde Emmanuel Adenegan, who now clock 40 have celebrated and dedicated their ruby birthday to service to God by hosting the first session of the thirteenth synod of the Anglican Diocese of Owo and giving back to the community in service to the youths. 

In an occasion whose atmosphere was filled with glamour, joy and peace well attended by the who is who in the academia, political class and religious world, the Dons, Taiwo and Kehinde Adenegan expressed their hearty appreciation to the Almighty God who had graciously granted them long-live and fulfilled their desire to host the synod, a covenant they have had with God at 33.

At a synod, held at St. Patrick's Anglican Church Ijebu Owo,  whose theme is titled "I Can Do All Things through Christ who Strengthens Me, Phil.4:13" which was presided upon by the Bishop of the Diocese,    the Rt. Revd. Dr. Stephen Ayodeji Fagbemi, the duo jointly presented an evangelism space bus to the youths, gave N500,000:00  bursary to 20 youths in the Diocese cutting across clergy and laity children and then endowed the Diocese with over Five Million Naira (N5M) for developmental projects. In addition to feeding all the delegates and guests throughout the 4-day program, they paid One Million Naira (N1M) on behalf of their Parish, St. Patrick's church, the mission fund/assessment payable to the Diocese.

The Bishop of the Diocese, Stephen Fagbemi who could not hide his joy at the glorious occasion expressed gratitude to the quintessential and unique twins who have dedicated their lives to services to God and humanity. He enjoined the youths of this generation to toe the footsteps of these academic gurus. Bishop Fagbemi in his charge, admonished all and sundry to believe in God's inherent abilities in them to achieve great feats in live. He also decried the spate of killings and insecurity in the nation and pleaded for a united Nigeria where peace and justice shall reign. 


Meanwhile, a one day youth summit as pre-synod program was held during the synod week where talks were given by seasoned scholars, entrepreneurs and pastors on topical issues ranging from the roles of youths in church and nation building and the like. Empowerment talk was given by pacesetters empowerment initiatives to encourage the youths to be independent and live worthwhile lives.


The synod hosts, Taiwo, an Associate Professor and Dean Students Affairs of the Achievers University, Owo and Kehinde, a Senior Lecturer and Acting Director, at Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo admonished the youths to be law abiding citizens,  be determined and focused in life and be ready to face life challenges if indeed they want to ride on the heights of the land as they have made "human confidence is vanity" as their motto in life.
 

Among eminent personalities present at the occasion were,  Arakunrin Akeredolu, Ondo State Governor, Mrs. Laoye Tomori, the former Deputy Governor of Osun State, Engr. Funso Kupolokun, former NNPC GM, staff of  Adeyemi College of Education Ondo, Achievers University Management led by the VC, Engr. Prof. T.S. Ibiyemi, the Olowo-elect, the Oba Asuada of Isuada land, Oba Odole of Oba-Ile land, Hon. Alaba Lad-Ojomo, Mr. Dare Aragbaye, the Ondo State Head of Service,  Bishops,  government functionaries, Rot. Oluseto Olatuyi, President Rotary club of Ondo-Adeyemi College and host of others.
