Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi College donates food items to visually impaired students

 

The Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi College, at its first meeting of the new year 2022, donated food items to sixteen visually impaired students of the College. While addressing the students, Rotn Elizabeth Okoroafor (Enwerem), the President of the Club, told the students that charity is one of the core responsibilities of the club. She expressed satisfaction in doing this on behalf of the club. She thanked all members for the cooperation received in the rotary year.


In his appreciation message, the coordinator of the visually impaired students, Mr. Gbenga Akinbolade, remarked that the Rotary Club of Ondo-Adeyemi College is a charity club that has given the welfare of the students a paramount attention on yearly basis. He extolled the virtues of the President and members of the club for the great gesture. Items distributed include rice, milo, milk, bournvita, spaghetti, and the like. 





Speaking further on the club project for the year 2021/2022, Rotn. Dr. Kehinde Adenegan, the Club Executive Secretary, assured the visually impaired students that the club is strongly committed to the establishment of a mini e-library for their convenience. He noted that efforts are in top gear with well-meaning members of the club and other donors who will make the dream come to reality.


Meanwhile, at the first meeting of the year, the President inducted three new members into the club. They are Rotn Ganiyu Abdul (the College Bursar), Rotn Opeyemi Adeniyi (the College MIS Ag. Director) and  Rotn Josephine Adenegan (the wife of the Club Executive Secretary). Members were very excited to welcome the new members into the club. It was a moment of feasting and celebration for yet another year of service to humanity. 



Present at the occasion were Rotn Olufisayo Fakorede PHF, the club President elect, Rotn Taiwo Olaitan, the club President nominee, Rot. Dr. Abiodun Olarewaju, Rot. Dr. Mopelola Akintoye, Rot, Idowu Emmanuel, Rotn David Komolafe, Rotn Foyin Akinyose and a few guests.
